ENGLISH TRANSLATION. ZINE 15 YEARS.
Fifteen years ago, we embarked on a journey, an adventure of patience and perseverance, delving into a universe where indigenous tradition offers us a new way of seeing the world. That world, handwoven, invites us to witness a living resistance, the right to ethnic diversity, and the cultural richness of communities that have kept their ancestral roots alive.
Over these years, we have built strong bonds with women who, more than work partners, have become friends and allies. They open the doors to their homes and invite us to share the scent of pine from their forests and the warmth of their hearths. They share their families, their laughter, and together we celebrate the continuation of this path that unites us in an unbreakable bond, where they teach us forms of community life, the care of natural resources, and the pride of an identity that, despite segregation and racism, remains strong and blooming.
This collaboration has brought to life unique handmade home products crafted using traditional techniques such as backstrap and foot looms, brocades, and embroidery, each telling its own story. At Colorindio, every artisan is recognized for their work. The textile is not just a decorative piece; it is the living history of their community, written in every thread, and it belongs to them.
Our mission is clear: to establish an authentic collaboration that fosters the creation of contemporary products, while building a sustainable and fair business relationship for both parties.
THANKS
I thank Colorindio for making this utopia possible, where fair trade of traditional textiles is a reality.
Libia and I are very clear about the focus and commitment, which is not just about her and me, but about the many friends and allies with whom we have woven history over these years. My dream of a research and artisan production project that is sustainable for everyone is coming true.

___________
Celebrating 15 years has been a journey filled with gratitude, learning, knowledge, and awe in front of a Mexico with an endless tradition of craftsmanship. But these years have also meant the possibility of creating with respect and friendship, in a horizontal collaboration that allows us to have a product of excellent quality and great artistic value.
I thank Pola for her generosity, for always sharing her knowledge, and for her trust in me. There is much intuition in this process, but the best part has been the companionship of all the women who have made it possible.
